This data backup application is preferred to other software and even cloud backup services due to it’s ease of use. The whole process of backing up your data takes just one click. Once your iOS device is connected via USB, the application will automatically backup data to your computer, without overwriting any previous backups.
Restore Backup Selectively – to Android or iOS
When looking to restore content to your smartphone, you can preview and select the data you wish to restore. The software works seamlessly across operating systems, so you can restore your data to a new Android or iOS smartphone without compatibility issues. The iOS PC Suite will even allow for a seamless backup and restore of iTunes data, so moving media files from iOS to Android or vice versa is easy.
Step 1. Launch Dr.Fone – Phone Backup & Restore Software
Launch Dr.Fone on your computer, and select “Phone Backup”.
Then, use the Lightning cable to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the computer. By default, Dr.Fone will automatically detect your iOS device. Select the ‘Backup’ button to begin.
Step 2. Select file types to backup
Dr.Fone will detect the file types on your device automatically and you can select what file types to backup. Then click on “Backup”.
You can also click on the folder icon below the file types to customize the backup file saving path. The whole backup process will take a few minutes, depending on the data storage on your device. Then Dr.Fone will display all the supported data, like Photos & Videos, Messages & Call Logs, Contacts, Memos, and other data.
When the backup is completed, you can click View Backup History to view all iOS device backup history. Click on View next to it to check the contents of the backup file in categories. You can choose one single file or multiple files to print them or export them to your computer.
Step 3. Restore backup to your Android phone
Connect your iOS devcice to the computer using a USB cable. After you click on the Restore button, the program will display all the iPhone/iPad backup files on your computer. Select the backup file you need and click the “View” button next to it.
Step 4. Preview and restore the backup file
After you click on View, the program will take a few seconds to analyze the backup file and display all data in categories in the backup file.
After you find the files you need, you can just select a few files or select them all to proceed to the next step. Currently, Dr.Fone supports to restore the Notes, Contacts, Messages, Photos, videos, music, Safari bookmarks, Call History, Calendar, Voice memo to a device. So you can restore these files to your iOS device or export them all to your computer. If you want to restore the files to your device, select the files and click on Restore to Device. Just in a few seconds, you will have these files on your device.
